PXL Clamp-on Flow Sensors

Applying our core ultrasonic transit-time technology, the PXL Clamp-on Tubing Flowsensors revolutionized blood flow monitoring in medical devices by providing reliable non-invasive volume flow measurements in flexible tubing from 1/8” OD to 1 ¼” OD. No contact is made with the fluid media and their clip-on operation makes it easy to maintain a sterile circuit. Their X- transducer design ensures accurate measurement of pulsatile flow as well as steady state conditions. Transonic PXL Flowsensors guarantee years of productive use and uncompromising quality of measurement. PXL sensors are custom calibrated for up to 4 selectable combinations of user parameters (tubing type, fluid, temperature & target flow range). Calibration Certificates are supplied with every sensor.

PXN Inline Flow Sensors

For highest accuracy and circuit design flexibility, Transonic PXN Inline Flowsensors splice into tubing lines and measure the flow within. PXN Inline Flowsensors utilize a scheme of ultrasonic illumination that makes it possible to manufacture a flow-through sensor with a smooth cylindrical interior without compromising measurement accuracy. Sensors are available with 1” (25mm) ID. 25PXN Flowsensors have barbed, rigid tubing ends which mate easily with flexible laboratory tubing. 25PXNB flowsensors have rigid tubing ends with no barbs. PXN sensors are custom calibrated for up to 4 selectable combinations of user parameters (fluid, temperature & target flow range). Calibration Certificates are supplied with every sensor.

These probes can measure blood, lymph, urine, and other physiological fluids with remarkable stability and accuracy, even at significantly low flow rates. PS-Series Flowprobes are also suitable for long term implantation.

Nanoprobes are special miniaturized PS-Series Flowprobes designed to fit mouse anatomy. These Flowprobes are able to measure volume flows < 1 mL/min with Transonic’s signature high resolution quality in vessels as small as 0.3 mm in diameter.

Transonic’s V-series Flowprobes are designed for acute microcirculation studies where small second & third order vessels 0.5 to 0.7 mm diameter can be isolated and studied under strict stable conditions. These flowprobes use a unique mirror ultrasonic path to amplify flows in small vessels. Note: vessels must fit completely in the V-groove of the flowprobe reflector for accurate measurement. The airspace between the vessel and probe transducers must be filled with gel. Provided with a stainless steel handle to be stabilized in a micromanipulator.
